Welcome to our Web
site
Two Bays
Ulysses branch was established in
November 1996 and currently has around 140 members. We cater for Ulyssians
living on or near the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and new members are
always welcome to any of our activities.
Two Bays branch has a great mix of social activities and rides for
people who like motorcycles to enjoy.
We have a passion for riding
motorcycles and the Mornington Peninsula offers some of Victoria's best
scenery and motorcycle roads. We have an organized ride on most weekends
and most Wednesdays. New members are welcome! Check out our Ride Calendar.
We are a very social group
and you are invited to join us
every Saturday morning
from 10am for morning tea and a
friendly chat at Jetty's Cafe Pizza & Pasta
corner of Jetty Road & Point Nepean Road, Rosebud - on beach side. You are
also welcome to come to our monthly social evening on the 1st
Monday of the month at "STEEPLES"
corner Racecourse and Tyabb Roads
Mornington. For these and other social activities see our Social and ride
calendar.

President's Report
What an exciting couple of
months we've had now lets see where to start.
As you all know some us
ventured up north for the A.G.M and as I've said before for a ten bob
Pom that was born in a tiny seaside village and that to travel to the
city of London which is a whole 72 miles away you only did that for a
weekend this is one Bl!!!!dy big country. I think every one that
attended has a tail of some sort to tell I know Ron and I had a BALL!.
Next we have one of those quiet members that just go off and do their
thing I'm talking of course about John Fitton. Now some of you might not
know of Johns adventure so to put you in the picture our little mate
packed up his bike with tents sleeping bags and anything else he could
pack and set off for wait for it...ALICE SPRINGS !!! We all know John
and I reckon that this is one hell of a gutsy effort especially knowing
Johns back ground. Well done mate. Talking of the quiet ones it is with
great sadness that I'm informed that Don Clarke is giving bikes away due
to health reasons so I'm sure that we all wish Don well and that he
doesn't stop coming down for a coffee or contacting us if he needs help
with anything Good Luck Don..
This time of year seems to be the time that all red blooded males look
at there bikes and think I need a change, well just keep your eyes open
and check out the new ones.
As every one is aware there has been problems with the Web this is due
mainly to the fact that our program is old [like some of you] and that
our sight is to big for it, that is basically a layman's explanation.
It was unfortunate that we had a "downer" on a Wednesday ride not so
long ago, luckily the injuries were not to severe BUT because our lines
of communication had broken we did not know until we got home.
Hawkesdale was another success as it always is. Now for those of you
that haven't been let me try to set the scenario. Pub in the middle of
no where, basic accommodation, good food great hosts [Bill and Rhonda]
along weekend away with good company. Now it is never arranged like this
but sometime on the weekend a bus of people will turn up from some where
unbeknown to any one including the hosts. But the highlight of the
weekend was a pair of the hairiest boots I've ever laid eyes on and they
were worn by... one of our members, they certainly went down well with
the ladies didn't they Wolfgang???
"STRING OF PEARLS" works only if people use it .This method is very
simple [it has to be for me to understand it]. All we have to do is
watch our mirrors that's those things that sit on the end of the
handlebars. If the bike behind you looks as if it is slowing down or
stopping you do likewise the bike in front of you does the same until we
get to the ride leader who also slows down or stops. When the problem is
rectified we get going again...Any one that doesn't quite understand
this have a word with one of committee. I would like this method to
happen as it might be me laying in the road and no one knowing..I
reckon that's enough "waffling" for now so until we meet again "trah"
for now.

Sick Bay Update
Graham very much appreciates the good wishes from so many members. As
he had changed his phone from Telstra to Optus the day before his
accident, requiring a new phone number, he has been unable to access all
the messages on his old Telstra number message bank.
Please note Graham's new phone number - 8707 0911
