Eastlink Opening - Ulysses Ride. What a hardy and enthusiastic bunch we are at Two Bays. On Sunday 29th June 25 bikes with 29 riders/pillions (including lots of our newer members), departed Baxter at 6-15 am in darkness, linking with 3 more bikes along the way as we travelled to Ringwood. Arriving at 7-15 am we were briefed on the Ulysses led Eastlink Opening Ride and departed at 7-30 to travel from the northern commencement at Springvale Rd Doncaster, through the Mullem Mullem tunnel and the full length of new Tollway to Frankston. Hundreds of Ulyssians took part with bikes stretching for many kilometres as riders made their way safely along the fantastic new surface. Two Bays members travelled on to our favoured haunt at Sam's Jetty Coffee Shop in Rosebud, where we all thawed out and enjoyed a nice hot mug of Sam's best. A noisy fellowship ensued before members eventually went their own ways and headed off home. Everyone agreed it was a terrific ride and a once in a lifetime opportunity to do a mass ride on EarthLink's opening morning.
