Hi Folks,
So I heard we were going on a ride to Foster (is that where the
doctor lives?) so I google mapped it, and thought it would be a
straight forward ride.
How wrong I was! This was my first taste of riding out in the
country after only having had my new bike for 6 weeks. What a treat,
we turned of at a place called Lang-Lang (so good they named it
twice) and then on to Poo wong (they got the 1st part right did you
smell it too) The roads were fantastic, I got stuck behind the guy
that was taking his shrubbery out for a Sunday drive (strange folk
up there). Those twisties were great, but the wind was a little
strong, and I had my wife 'Reserve' on the back acting as my very
own sail. Sorry for slowing down some of you speedsters. We all made
it safely to Yarragon where Alan was the lucky guy that got the
"Golden ticket' in his pastie.
We set out from our morning coffee truly refreshed, and headed out
for some more of Victoria's finest twisties. The weather was great
too, I got to go to work looking like a PANDA after getting too much
sun on my face and not my eyes. So we rolled into Foster like the
"Del fuegoes" in "Wild Hogs" and took over the main street park.
Thanks to all who helped out on the food and beverages, it was a
really good spread. One of our group was still a little hungry and
decided a little veg would be good for later (SEE PICS). It truly
was a community garden. LOL. The Veg police are making enquires.
We continued on our way to Baxter through places I had never been
before and were too numerous to mention. We ended the day on a high
note with Ice Creams back at Baxter where we reconvened for a last
farewell.
I would like to say WELL DONE to our new member Helen for making her
1st trip on her Intruder (they come with a free strap on gas tank),
only kidding.
Special thanks to Chris for leading and Alan for bring up the rear.
Special thanks to all the corner markers for your patience, when our
string of pearls changed to elastic.
ANOTHER GREAT DAY OUT
By now you all get my strange sense of humour.
Regards
English Al.
