Saturday Ride
Report 12th May 2012
Nice to see all the
smiling faces at Jetty Cafe this morning.
I counted 12 bikes and
around 20 or so Ulyssians telling stories, and kicking tyres.
Great conversations were
had by all followed by a ride over to Balnarring for lunch.
8 bikes made the trip from
Rosebud, with quite a few riding over in cages. John Smollen was
already there waiting for us with his bike.
Great food, great coffee
and great conversation. (see photo's) Ben Loois was the winner
of the raffle.
Most made there own way
home, but after filling up with Gas (sorry petrol) Janet, Wolfie
and English Al followed Ride Leader Angela on her 250cc all the
way back to McCrae after a good drenching to have coffee and
Angela's place.
Great morning / afternoon
out once again with Two Bays Ulysses.
Regards
English Al.
Saturday Ride Report 5th May 2012.
Got a day off work and decided to go to Jetty Cafe for coffee.
A wet miserable day was brightened up by meeting up with 25
Ulyssians for tyre kicking and a coffee or two.
Most amazing of all is that 15 bikes had turned up when it was not
fit to take the dog for a walk.
No ride out for lunch today due to the rain.
Keep the shiny side up.
Regards
English Al.

21st April 2012
Saturday Morning Tyre Kicking.
We had a good turn out at Jetty
cafe, approx 20 bikes showed up.
Quite a bit of tyre kicking and
coffee drinking going on.
Nice to see old faces and new.

Saturday
coffee meet up
It was so nice to meet up with all the Two Bays members at the Jetty
Cafe for coffee on Saturday morning.
I had just gotten over my hangover from the Christmas party the week
before.
The weather was perfect for riding so Janet and I rode down to the
cafe to show off her new bike.
No more Saturday working for the next 3 weeks for me, Woo Hoo!
It was nice to see our local newsmaker Gary Disher for coffee with
his wrist in plaster after having a spill on the Toy Run.
We all wish you a speedy recovery Gary! What a way to get your 5
minutes of fame on the news.
There must have been around 20 bikes or so outside the cafe, a great
turn out.
Around 10 bikes ventured out around midday for the trip to
Balnarring for lunch.
Hope to see more members on 24th for coffee at the cafe, that is
unless you are still Christmas shopping.
May I on behalf of the Two Bays Committee wish you all safe riding
and a very Merry Christmas
Regards
English Al
Saturday 13th August
We started with coffee
at our clubhouse in Rosebud on Saturday morning 13 Aug., and a good
turn up it was. Then at noon John Broughton led an impromptu ride to
Balnarring beach for the usual lunch with a few extra members
because of the aim of the ride later on.
After lunch 22 bikes, some with pillions and a couple of cars with
non riders, left Balnarring and headed to Cannons Creek.
Not the longest ride of the year but very enjoyable. Allan Rae did
the tail ending. John introduced us to his friends Andrew and
Patsy Pinxt who have a delightful three acre property there with
several sheds chock a block full of Collectable's. They made us very
welcome and let us wander about at will. Hundreds of storm lamps,
blow torches, donkey engines, old telephones and enough stuff!! and
memorabilia to fill a museum. Surprise, surprise No motorbikes
though. enough stuff to keep us entertained for a couple of hours.
Followed by a sumptuous afternoon tea organized by Patsy and John's
wife Jeanette.
Andrew and Patsy where thanked by Allan Rae and we where asked to
donate something to the Pinxt's pet project, C.H.I.L.D. an orphanage
and school for kids in India.
A lovely apple tart baked by Mrs Pinxt was auctioned and won by
Malie.
Thanks John Broughton, for organizing this ride . John's first and
Barry White's first ride with the group.

COFFEE AND RIDE TO BALNARRING
It had been quite a while since I had attended a Saturday morning
meeting for coffee at Jetty Cafe as I always seem to be working!
But this week I told the bosses NO WAY, enough already all work and
no play.
So I got to join all my Two Bays family for coffee and a yakka. What
a great turn out!
33 members with 27 bikes (see photo's)
Great people, great coffee and for once great Melbourne weather for
the ride over to Balnarring!
Keep the dirty side down.

On a slightly blustery but pleasant morning I departed home bound
for a hearty BBQ Breakfast at Arthurs Seat. I arrived at about 8 am
to find that the previous users of the facility had not properly
cleaned the BBQs. So I went into cleaning mode and scrubbed ,( just
as well I come prepared).
With the cooking things in a better state of clean I set about
making myself an Egg & Bacon Sandy. Just getting down the last bite
and I was joined by the Lutz’s and the Frolings. Doug showed his
culinary skills by cooking scrambled eggs on a BBQ and it turned out
very well (well done Dougie). Soon we were joined by Big Kev Paige
and I welcomed the President of the Wanderers “Bigggles” and several
other Wanderers.
A good breakfast to start the day some chit chat among friends we
all enjoyed each others company. Great to see Peter & Maria Charles
again long tome between drinks Pete, also Trevor & Dorothy, Barry
Turner and Kevin Moore turned up just to say Hi.
Hope to see a lot more there next month.
